Setup
A) Go to the page ...

B) Download the zip file with thr audio files.
C) Unzip the file
D) Load the all orchestra instruments into your DAW and open for each an audio track.
--> Do not load the solo violin!
Tasks
Set up
1) Set up each of the audio channels with an EQ. Search within EQ for the right LowCut frequency for each instrument. If you need help in that here you will find answers (Link only works in tutorial).
2) Insert a group channel and pass all strings to and through that channel. Call it "strings".
3) Set up another group channel >> Call it "Depth" and pass the signal from the "strings" through the "depth" channel to the output of the mixer.
Mixing
4) Now set the correct volume ratios with the faders of the audio channels. You can find help here. (Link only works in tutorial)...
5) Adjust the balance knobs so that the individual instruments appear at the positions as shown on the upper picture.
Inserting effects
6) Insert a "Bus Compressor" in the "Strings"- Group. This should all the signals "glue" together a bit. any help?
7) Set up a convolution reverb (ER only) in the "Depth of Space Channel" so that the orchestra sounds a bit more distant. Help you can get here. (Link only works in tutorial)...
8) Insert a reverb in the output channel (Main). If possible then turn off the "ERs". Add some reverb (Tail) to your taste.
9) Now check together with the reverb once more whether the positions R / L are still correct or not.

C) Entzippen Sie die Datei.
D) Laden Sie alle Orchesterinstrumente in Ihre DAW und öffnen Sie für jede eine Audiospur.

Aufgaben
Einrichten
1) Richten jeden der Audiokanäle ein mit einem EQ. Suchen Sie im EQ nach der richtigen LowCut Frequenz. Wenn Sie damit nicht vertraut sind, lösen Sie die Aufgaben hier. (Link funktioniert nur im Tutorial)...
2) Richten Sie einen Gruppenkanal ein, und leiten sie alle Streicher auf diesen Kanal. Benennen Sie ihn mit "Streicher".
3) Richten Sie einen weiteren Gruppenkanal ein >> "Raumtiefe" und leiten Sie das Signal vom "Streicher-Gruppenkanal" durch den "Raumtiefe-Kanal" zum Ausgang des Mixers.
Mischen
4) Stellen Sie nun mit den Fadern der Audiokanäle die richtigen Lautstärkeverhältnisse ein. Hilfe dazu finden Sie hier. (Link funktioniert nur im Tutorial)...
5) Stellen Sie jeweils die Balance-Regler so ein, dass die einzelnen Instrumente an den Positionen erscheinen wie oben auf dem Bild.
Effekte einfügen
6) Im "Streicher-Kanal" richten Sie einen "Bus-Kompressor" ein. Dieser soll alle die Signale etwas "zusammenleimen". Studieren Sie diesen Schritt hier.
7) Richten Sie im "Raumtiefe-Kanal" einen Convolution-Reverb (nur ER) ein damit das Orchester etwas entfernter klingt. Hilfe? Studieren Sie dieses Kapitel. (Link funktioniert nur im Tutorial)...
8) Richten Sie im Ausgangskanal (Main) einen Reverb ein, bei dem man nach Möglichkeit die "ERs" auschalten kann. Steuern Sie etwas Reverb hinzu (Tail)
9) Überprüfen Sie nun mit dem Hall zusammen, ob die Positionen R / L immer noch stimmen...
